Each year The annual Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report published by the U.S. Department of State’s Office to Monitor & Combat Trafficking in Persons measures each country around the world is/is not doing to combat human trafficking. This is a great place to look at how countries around the globe rank, by reading the newly released 2019 TIP Report.

There is great opportunity to teach a variety of groups English as a second language. It helps build genuine relationships and provides connection with people’s lives which encourages direct ministry.

While Ukraine is often called the "Bible Belt" of Eastern Europe, Ukraine is plagued with a wide variety of social justice ills, including human trafficking. Ukraine is one of the largest source countries worldwide in slavery today. Because of this, ReachGlobal has chosen to focus primarily on prevention and awareness. There are numerous NGOs involved in a variety of ways to fight human trafficking in Kyiv.

SOFIA, BULGARIA

Prevent human trafficking in its primary source country.

Bulgaria remains one of the primary source countries for trafficked persons in Europe. Recognizing Bulgaria as a source country, we need to engage areas of prevention.

The Sofia City Team is looking for a self-starter interested in networking with area churches and NGOs involved in or interested in fighting human trafficking in all of its forms. We need someone to access specific areas of need and gaps in current services provided in Sofia and the surrounding area by talking with many who are currently engaged in the fight.

BERLIN, GERMANY

Serve victims of human trafficking in Berlin.

Berlin is one of the largest consumers of the Europe sex trade. Since the World Cup in 2006 prostitution has been legal creating a market, where approximately 70% of those working in the sex trade have been trafficked. There are only a few ministries reaching into this area and they are in great need of full-time volunteer workers.

Basic skills needed for this position are compassion for others, heart to serve, strong biblical understanding of Christian faith. Secondary skills would include counseling and social issues.
